As reported by Valleywag and Mashable this morning, Photobucket is being sold to MySpace for an undisclosed amount. Why? I’m not sure as MySpace’s own photo hosting service is clearly moving in the direction of offering the same features of Photobucket (and even Flickr). Maybe they needed a big expense this year on the books, who knows. Photobucket’s response, "Thanks for the Add!"
